I just went, myself on the way home from my short day at work :-) and here are the deals I got:
- Dannon Activa yogurt 4-pack - on sale for 2.48 and I had a $1 coupon from Sunday's paper, making it 1.48
- DiGiorno pizza and breadsticks - on sale for 5.99 and I had a coupon for $3 off. Not sure where I got that one.
- Tropicana Trop 50 on sale for 2/$6 and I had a BOGO free coupon from a one-day deal at Tropicana Juicy Rewards a while back. (got it from My Frugal Adventures sending me alerts on my FB wall.)
- Annie's mac and cheese are on sale for $1.50 each - no coupon for this.
- Crystal Geyser sparkling water on sale for .88. no coupons here, either.
Even with no coupons for the last two items, I saved 51% under the original prices.
When I got home, I had gotten 2 free samples in the mail - a South Beach bar and a pack of Stride mystery flavor gum (I tasted it and the flavor is still a mystery!). Plus, I got back an Olay rebate of $15 I put in for weeks ago - so it's been a good couponing day!
And, I just read this last great tip from My Frugal Adventures. You can call companies and request coupons! It even provides a list of companies that will send them to you.
